Logistics Manager

Logistics Manager Summary: Logistics Manager will direct all the shipping functions and distributions of goods and services, whether performing the duties personally or delegating responsibilities to other shipping personnel. The role also includes working closely with customers and the manufacturing department to assure shipments are accurate and on time. This role is responsible for managing the customer service representatives and driving to ensure the customer scorecards are managed. Responsibilities: ?  Manage the shipping, receiving and warehouse operations daily and effectively to motivate strong, consistent work practices ?  Communicate with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved processes and/or product ?  Demonstrates hands-on leadership and coaching abilities - able to demonstrate examples of empowering, developing & motivating people ?  Create and transmit ASN's (Advanced Shipping Notices) in accordance with customer requirements ?  Establish operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping the warehouse inventory current ?  Support documentation and implementation of TS-16949 procedures, along with maintaining the Approved Carrier Source List and purchase order requisitions in accordance with TS-16949 ?  Schedule deliveries and pickups via small parcel, cartage, and LTL including international and expedite shipments ?  Control business unit costs and actively identify cost saving opportunities ?  Develop plans for long term development of staff and conduct evaluations as required ?  Continually inspect and maintain the physical condition of warehouse and equipment, making sure needed repairs are completed ?  Spearhead and participate in planning personnel safety and plant protection events or activities ?  Complete any other duties as assigned Experience: ?  Bachelor's degreerequired with 5+ years 'experience as Shipping Supervisor in fast-paced logistics/shipping/manufacturing environment required, including development and implementation of standard operating procedures and inventory consolidation.  College degree strongly preferred, however, may be substituted for equivalent work experience. ?  Excellent organization and interpersonal skills ?  Excellent oral and written communication skills ?  Intermediate computer skills in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook ?  Experienced in operating a forklift and pallet jack required ?  Experienced using scanning equipment and shrink wrappers required ?  Must have experience with MRP systems preferably Trans4M. ?  Must be able to fluctuate hours based on customer mandated window times ?  Automotive experience is highly desired ?  Effective problem resolution skills combined with "big picture" awareness

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
